Biography

Elaine F. Mateo, M.D. is a Board Certified adult, child and adolescent psychiatrist. A 1992 graduate of Texas Tech University Medical School, Dr. Mateo was selected for studies at the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Emory University, graduating in 1994. Dr. Mateo is the Past-president of the Georgia Council on Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Mateo has experience in the practice of psychiatry, both in the private and public sectors. Her skills include the evaluation and treatment of psychiatric disorders, the identification and management of crisis situations, and the interface between medical conditions and behavior.
